GA Field Hockey Earns 7-1 Win Over Choate

A strong first half by the Greenwich Academy field hockey team helped lead the way to a 7-1 victory over Choate on Wednesday.

Karina Schulze got the scoring started for the Gators with a pair of first half goals, along with Maya Walker and Erika Kraus joining in on the scoring.

The Gators wouldn’t look back from a 4-1 halftime lead, and with second-half goals from Kraus, Grace Schulze and Katherine Glassmeyer, Greenwich Academy secured the victory.

Choate put pressure on the Gator defense, but the scoring opportunities were capitalized on for GA. Maggie Reville played in net for the first half and had one save. Belli Santucci played in goal for the second half and recorded four saves.

For Choate, Claire Marshall scored late in the first half while Cameron Leonard had 10 saves in goal.

Academy next plays Berkshire at home on Saturday at 3:15 pm.
